Brainerd, MN Crew

Ron Mattson

When Ron joined the Crystal-Pierz Marine service department in 1997, he already had seven years of invaluable marine industry experience. In addition to his work inside the Brainerd location, Ron also delivers customers’ boats to the lake and even performs on-the-water service calls! Ron and his wife have been married for 23 years. They have a daughter, Lindsey, who is a nurse, and a son, Jared, who attends school in St. Cloud. In his spare time, Ron likes to go hunting and fishing.

 

Jeanne Kapsner

At Crystal-Pierz Marine, Jeanne helps make acquiring a new boat easier and more convenient. After you purchase your boat, she helps title and license boats for customers, as well as order the lettering that goes on the side of their new watercraft. She has 14 years of marine industry experience (all at Crystal-Pierz), giving her the knowledge to ensure every customer walks away happy. When she’s not fulfilling boaters’ on-the-water wishes, Jeanne enjoys spending time with her niece.

 

Greg Patnoe

Greg recognizes that summers are short and vacations are dear, so he derives great pleasure from getting people back on the water quickly. Greg joined our crew in 2005 and brought 21 years of marine service experience with him, as well as two years of schooling. He’s worked in welding and maintenance at multiple factories. Greg and his wife, Anita, have instilled that same work ethic in their three children. They are also proud grandparents. Greg fishes as often as possible, and he likes to hunt, walk, read and bike.

 

Chad Boesen

Chad has 12 years of marine service industry experience, all at Crystal-Pierz Marine. His wealth of knowledge and solid skill set help ensure that when you bring your boat in for service, Chad will get you back on the water and enjoying time with your family as quickly as possible, while still performing top-quality service on your boat. In addition to spending time with his wife and two children, Chad enjoys hunting, fishing and scuba diving.

 

Jason Barg

Jason came to Crystal-Pierz in 2003 with 13 years of prior marine experience from working on docks and lifts. Besides that, he studied mechanics in college, has marine engine experience and even worked as a factory customer service rep. Rest assured, he can help you get the parts, accessories and/or service you need to maximize your on-the-water fun. Jason’s family includes three sons and three daughters, all of who enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, boating and nearly any other activity that involves the outdoors.

 

Thad Jameson

Thad says his job is the best in the company: He gets to ensure every customer gets 110% of the enjoyment they dreamed of fulfilled. He empowers his associates to make every customer’s experience a good one. Thad has been in the industry since 1979, including 12 years in the Volvo Penta parts department and eight years with Link Recreational. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a son, Thad, who is a recent graduate of Dowling University. He’s into boating, motorcycling, photography and travelling.

 

Kirk Loge

Kirk became part of the Brainerd Crystal-Pierz family six years ago. Before that, he was a farmer in west central Minnesota. As a member of our crew, Kirk is extremely good at helping customers find the perfect boat to meet their family’s recreational needs, wants and budget. Kirk is married to his high school sweetheart, Taunya, with whom he has two sons, Grant and Carter. They like to spend time together at the lake boating and fishing.

 

Bill Webb

Bill may have just joined the Crystal-Pierz Marine crew in February, but he brings with him 15 years of marine industry experience, and a total of 30 years in sales. When you’re ready to pick out your new boat, Bill will help you find the right product to fit your every need, as well as provide after-sale service help. When not helping get people on the water, Bill spends time with his three children and three grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, his favorite pastimes are hunting, camping and fishing.

 

Fargo, ND Crew

Nolan McCarthy

Like most of us in the area, Nolan has spent the majority of his seasons both on and in the water. He enjoys fishing with the best of them, and as well as all the BBQ a man can handle. Nolan has been in the sales and customer relation field for the majority of his working life, and is very adamant about make every customer’s experience a great one. He is the proud father of one. His daughter, Brooke, before she was even 2, caught her first fish without dad’s help. Nolan looks forward to serving you and your family for many years to come.

 

Angela Rosenbrook

Angela has been in customer service since day one and enjoys helping people as much as she can. When she’s not working at Crystal-Pierz Marine, she loves being on the lake. While she doesn’t participate in water sports, she enjoys watching, cheering them on and operating the camera. Or, just lounging around. She always has a big group of friends visit to share the fun of the lake with, and they always end their day with a late-night bonfire full of singing and storytelling.

 

Dave Geske

Dave was introduced to the outdoors by his grandpa as a child and hasn’t looked back since. He has a passion for fishing and participates in local bass tournaments whenever possible. Now, after countless years on the water, Dave knows what it takes to have fun on the water. Being in customer service his whole professional career, Dave enjoys talking and interacting with people on a regular basis. He is also an avid hunter who goes after everything from birds to big game.

 

Eric Nesius

The transition from selling retail sporting goods to selling boats was an easy one for Eric. He’s been in the pursuit of helping people enjoy the boating lifestyle for more than five years now. Eric is getting married this summer, so his family is beginning to grow. It already includes a German Shorthair. He is an avid hunter and fisherman who indulges in walleye tournaments as often as he can. He sees it as a great way to improve his knowledge of fishing and boating and, in turn, communicate with his customers.

 

Jeff Sauve

Jeff has been a marine technician for 32 years. His greatest goal is to keep our customers happy by making sure repairs are done right the first time, therefore keeping them on the water and getting maximum enjoyment out of their water toys. In his spare time, Jeff is an avid snowmobiler and spends the winter weekends as a race team lead technician. He also enjoys spending time with his family and hunting.

 

Jake Fitzsimmons

Jake may be new to the marine industry, but he came into it with many years of experience in the parts and service world. He was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, but attended college here in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He is committed to the parts department and willing to help out in any way to optimize the customer’s experience here. In his free time, Jake is an angler with a specialty in fly fishing. He’s also an avid big game and waterfowl hunter.

 

Matt Edmondson

Matt has been in the Fargo service department for the past three years and, before that, he spent six years in the automotive service industry. With all that service experience behind him, Matt goes to whatever lengths it takes to make every customer satisfied, regardless how big or small the job. Originally from Iowa, Matt now enjoys his spare time on the lakes in Minnesota, as well as camping and going to concerts.

 

Craig Scheidecker

While Craig has been employed in the marine business for 23 years and counting, he’s been involved with boats and fishing his whole life. Starting out with retail sporting goods in the ninth grade, Craig has been taught to treat customers how he wants to be treated. When he isn’t managing his team in Fargo, Craig spends time with Janelle, his wife of 31 years, and Joe and Adam, his two sons. He also has a passion for keeping the wildlife population in check, as well as saltwater fishing.

 

Ramsey, MN Crew

Tyler Hinman

After six years at Tracker Boat Center locations in Cincinnati and Oklahoma City, Tyler transferred in January to Crystal-Pierz Marine in Ramsey to join his new TRACKER family. As a salesman and business manager, he learned that listening to customers’ questions is key to getting people into the boat of their dreams. He believes in giving people one-on-one attention. Tyler enjoys relaxing with family and friends and the outdoors in any season. He’s into ATVs, snowmobiles, hunting, fishing and NASCAR.

 

Shawn Christianson

Shawn has been a member of the Crystal-Pierz crew since July 2007, where he helps customers with any and all of their problems so they can get back on the water as fast as possible. Before that, he spent eight years working at Link Recreational, where he gained invaluable experience as a cleaner and rigger. When he’s not performing boat services, Shawn enjoys spending time with his son. He is also into hunting and fishing, among other outdoor sports and activities.

 

Linda Reid

Linda moved to Minnesota from New York in 2001 with her husband and youngest daughter. Her twin daughters stayed in Buffalo to get their degrees. Before she joined the marine industry at Crystal-Pierz in 2002, Linda was a teacher. So, she has the patience to deal with any problems that arise when resolving customer’s issues to their complete satisfaction, or helping make their buying experience a happy one. Linda also enjoys time with family, friends, reading, Sudoku, camping, walking and church choir.

 

Shakopee, MN Crew

Lisa Maas

Lisa has worked at Crystal-Pierz Marine since 2001. As the Shakopee location’s Office Manager, she is dedicated to making each customer’s experience as positive as possible, regardless the circumstances. She does so by doing warranties and providing a helping hand in the parts and service department. Outside the office, Lisa enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, as well as riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband Chris.

 

Travis Turek

With 13 years in the marine service industry, nine of which have been at Crystal-Pierz Marine, Travis is excellent at making sure problems are fixed in a timely manner. And, since he’s a Certified Technician, you can rest assured knowing your boat service was done correctly the first time. When he’s not helping boaters get back on the water to have fun, Travis himself enjoys fishing and hunting.

 

Wade Beach

With an A.A.S. degree in Outboard Power and Recreation Vehicles from Central Lakes College, Wade began his marine industry career as a mechanic in 1999 and then joined the Crystal-Pierz crew in 2003. He is a Business Manager who “loves to talk” and knows the biggest part of his job is helping customers feel comfortable. He is currently planning his wedding in June to Christina and likes to travel north with his fiancée and family to his parents’ cabin to fish and relax. He is also a very devout deer hunter.

 

Wes Schreiber

Wes grew up west of the Twin Cities, and has been a member of the Crystal-Pierz Marine crew since 2005. Before that, he worked at Gander Mountain in their fishing and customer service department. His friendly nature always puts customers at ease as he helps them pick out that perfect boat. Along with his dogs, Tucker and Cody, Wes enjoys hunting, which takes up most of his free time in the fall and winter. He also values spending time with friends. And, of course, he fishes every chance he gets.

 

Chris Maas

Chris started his marine service career in 1997 and came to Crystal-Pierz Marine seven years later. But really, he’s been a part of the marine industry his entire life. As Service Manager for Crystal-Pierz in Shakopee, Chris ensures customers get their boats serviced and back on the water as quickly as possible. Chris is married to Lisa, who also works at the Shakopee location. Plus, he likes to take his Harley out in the summer, and then switch it for a pole to do some ice fishing when winter comes around.

 

Matt Ness

Matt was raised with his brother and sister on a small lake in southern Minnesota. Years later, he would turn his love for the water into a marine industry career. Before joining Crystal-Pierz in 2002, Matt helped host and organize water ski and wakeboard tournaments. Now, he divides his time between the showroom and service department. In the summer, Matt goes fishing, wake surfing, mountain biking and golfing. He then turns to hunting in the fall and starts planning ski trips out west for the winter.

 

Rice Lake, WI Crew

Joe Mysicka

While Joe just recently joined the Crystal-Pierz Marine crew, he’s no stranger to the marine industry. Since 1996, he has worked in sales in the business. Joe knows how to treat every customer in a friendly and respectful manner. He loves to help them find the boat they’ll have the most fun in with their family. Joe and his wife, Sharon, are proud parents to three daughters, Jennifer, Carrie and Sarah. He is also into hunting, gardening, traveling and fishing with his grandchildren.

 

Scottie Farkas

Scottie recently came to Crystal-Pierz Marine to help deliver boats to customers. In addition, he details boats so they look great! His previous stint as a store cashier taught him the value of great customer service, so he strives to ensure people are always satisfied with the work. Scottie is enrolled in the marine repair technician program at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. Whenever he’s not at school or work, he’s out fishing from his boat. He also hunts and likes to hang out with family and friends, as well as work on anything with an engine.

 

Sig Rishovd

When Sig joined Crystal-Pierz in 2009, he brought 33 years of marine industry experience with him. Starting with selling wood Chris-Craft boats, he’s sold everything from 10 to 57 footers, and he even owned his own business in Hastings, Minnesota! Now, he’s the store manager at the Rice Lake location. Sig has been married for 31 years to Kathy, and has a daughter named Erica and a son, Sig III. His hobbies include woodworking, snowmobiling, fishing and boating.

 

Brad Doll

From simple services to repairs and advice, Brad is the man boaters need to talk to. As well as eight years at Crystal-Pierz Marine, he has 24 total years of marine industry knowledge through working as a boat mechanic! In addition to that, Brad has a daughter who plays basketball and softball and is still a straight “A” student. In his free time, Brad is an avid outdoorsman who hunts, fishes, snowmobiles and skis (water and snow). He also plays cards.

 

Kris Gottwald

Kris came to Crystal-Pierz in 2003, already with six years of marine industry experience. During his career in the business, he has graduated from a WITC Marine Repair Course and attended numerous Mercury Marine and other manufacturer’s training courses. When it comes to finding the correct parts, or getting help with any aspect of boat service or repairs, he’s the guy to talk to. Besides helping boaters, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and is an avid hunter and angler.

 

Wendy Gierke

With 28 years of experience in customer service, seven of which has been with Crystal-Pierz Marine, Wendy is more than ready to make sure your boat purchasing experience is a good one. When customers purchase their new boat, she minimizes the hassle by assisting them with their paperwork. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her daughter, who is studying at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She also loves camping, ice fishing, boating and snowmobiling with her boyfriend, Jim, and his children.
